3 Day Quotes challenge – Day 2

Following my day 1 of the 3 day quote challenge, here I am with my quotes for Day 2.

Rules of the challenge meant that I needed to write 3 quotes for 3 days. But it didn’t mention if I was supposed to post 3 days consequently. So I took the liberty to skip consecutive days option as I was having other posts scheduled after the day 1 post.

But now that, this week, I am not finding enough time to post; I am posting day 2 of the challenge.

This post is like a quick bite that we grab instead of having a full meals.

So here you go, quotes from the book “Gone Girl”. It’s one of my favorites, the only mistake I made is I watched the movie before I started reading the book. Anyways here are few quotes from the book.

“There’s something disturbing about recalling a warm memory and feeling utterly cold.”

– Gillian Flynn, Gone Girl

“People say children from broken homes have it hard, but the children of charmed marriages have their own particular challenges.”

– Gillian Flynn, Gone Girl

“A lot of people lacked that gift: knowing when to fuck off. People love talking, and I have never been a huge talker. I carry on an inner monologue, but the words often don’t reach my lips”

– Gillian Flynn, Gone Girl

  1. Hi,
I saw that movie and also blogged about it. I am a fan of been Affleck and Rosa monde Pike was pretty.

I am Janice. I met you at Roberta’s blog party. Maybe you can check out my blog if you need a blogging tip or two. That’s what I write about.

    1. Hmm.. Somehow I felt the movie was too fast. So far, I have read about 10% of the book, and it seems really good. It doesn’t quickly jump into action like the movie does. But in order to truly appreciate the content of this book, I think you should have been married and need to know the mind games that are played by the couple. 🙂 As a married person, I could easily relate to the mindset of the couple. Dialogues were great. It makes you think a lot about married life. Apart from the dark theme, I pretty much loved the story and the overall message.
